AMA Triangle is always excited for our members to increase their involvement in AMA by volunteering for our chapter. We have volunteer roles that span all aspects of the chapter, with multiple levels of involvement (one-off, a few hours a month, 1-2 hours a week, etc.). Communications is the hub of the AMA Triangle Chapter – nearly everything the chapter does go through communications. It is vital that the Communications Team provides consistency, accountability, and cohesiveness!
The focus of this role is to help manage the AMA Triangle Visual Identity and creative presence.
Duties include:
• Review calls for graphic creation and updates via BaseCamp (our project communications platform).
• Use and help update and maintain our current library for graphic creation in Canva (Adobe Creative Suite is a plus but not required).
• Generate graphics for our Website, Blogs (AMA Voices), Social Media, Email, and more.
• Monitor other AMA Chapter Social Media for trends and ideas, and bring them to the team for discussion.

Time commitment: 4 – 8 hours per month (1-2 hours per week)

Description: AMAimpact focuses on three pillars: donating money, donating time, and donating marketing skills. The AMAimpact Program Coordinator (Marketing Skills) coordinates the marketing skills volunteer placement program for AMA Triangle.

Purpose: The CONNECT & INSPIRE Event Coordinator supports the development of programming for current and future program participants. This role will assist with creating, planning and executing bi-monthly activities such as the program kick-off, trainings and social events. Description: The Director of Membership Operations and Orientation is responsible for managing all aspects of 4 quarterly Meet & Greet events. These events introduce new members to the key aspects of membership and associated opportunities available to them through the AMA Triangle chapter.

Almost all of our events include some aspect of networking, but our socials are all about connecting marketers in a fun environment. AMA Triangle socials take place once per quarter after Board of Volunteer (BOV) meetings in which we invite all members to engage with our board in person. Members and non-members are invited to the social afterward.
As the Director of Socials, you’ll coordinate the social after each BOV meeting, including one that doubles as our holiday party. You’ll also be tasked with working alongside the VP of Programming to coordinate AMA Triangle’s new signature event — the CMO panel. This evening event features networking and powerful insights from local CMOs.
The volunteer role reports to the VP of Programming.

You’ll need to attend socials in person (typically begin setup at 7 PM, start at 7:30 PM and end at 9 PM) at locations around the Triangle.

Our industry is constantly changing. While marketing fundamentals stay the same, new technologies and changing markets mean people need to stay ahead… or get left behind. To meet this need, AMA Triangle offers two-hour workshops for members and guests on topics like innovation, leadership, public speaking, and more.
As the Director of Workshops, you’ll shape and lead the chapter’s two-hour training workshop.
The volunteer role reports to the VP of Programming.
Responsibilities include:
You’ll need to attend at least one workshop (two-hour blocks depending on the time of day) and work with the speakers to coordinate a rehearsal a week before the event. Ideally, you’ll have a flexible schedule—or your boss sees your involvement in training events as a plus for your company.

The Local Meetup Leader works alongside the Director of Local Meetups and VP of Programming to help launch our new program providing regionally-based informal opportunities for local networking and collaboration.
These free group networking events are a member-only benefit, so membership is required to attend. Attendees may choose to purchase food/beverage themselves. Time of day to meet, location, and meeting frequency are both flexible and up to the needs of the individual group.

This is a hands-on, logistics-focused role that helps to ensure that our Signature Speaker Series (S3) events (which are core to our programming activities) run smoothly and efficiently.
This role will be responsible for tactical event support, before, during, and after the event. This individual is highly-organized, handles multiple tasks simultaneously with ease, and has an exceptional eye for detail.
