Keisha Williams: Director of Communications, NC ACLU
Keisha Williams joined the ACLU of NC in October of 2022 as Director of Communications. She is a seasoned Marketing/Communications professional who has facilitated strategic organizational directives and led projects across multiple disciplines and geographic boundaries for over two decades.
Upon graduating from UNC Greensboro, Keisha began her career in data analytics with General Electric, then led corporate sales directives for Campbell Sales Company. After receiving her Master of Business Administration Degree from Elon University, she joined a design group in New York City as Director of New Business Development. She later served as business development and consumer behavior lead for Catalina Marketing in New Jersey.
Recognizing that her passions were more aligned with projects that had meaningful impacts on underserved communities, she began working as a consultant for non-profits and small businesses. Inclusive in this work were her contributions as media lead with Hayti Reborn, an organization in Durham, NC, fighting against systemic racism and autonomous power found in the efforts to gentrify historically Black neighborhoods.
Prior to her role with the ACLU of NC she had an extensive career in higher education as Director of Marketing/Communications for the School of Business at North Carolina Central University. In her quiet moments, she appreciates a nice glass of wine, soft jazz, and spending time with her 9-year-old daughter and husband.
