When it comes to understanding how to reach the zoomers of Gen Z, we as marketers have a lot to learn about engagement strategies from higher education.
When it comes to understanding how to reach the zoomers of Gen Z, we as marketers have a lot to learn. This emerging generation of young adults are admittedly unlike any other generations before them – in the causes they care about, in the way they consume content, and in how they make purchasing decisions.
Marketers at colleges and universities have long been on the forefront of reaching and engaging this target demographic. However, when paired with the additional challenge of a global health crisis, colleges and universities had to again shift their approach with this digital-savvy audience.
Join us for an engaging panel event as we welcome four experts in the higher education sector who will share what they’ve learned during their careers about reaching Gen Z students (and their parents.) They’ll discuss what marketing and communications challenges they’re seeing first-hand through higher education recruitment efforts, and will share their vision into the future for reaching zoomers and yes, soon enough, Generation Alpha.
This insightful discussion is being hosted by Campbell University’s Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law. This panel will be moderated by Emma Jones, Executive Vice President and Owner at Credo, who brings two decades of higher education marketing experience with focus on international education program development, marketing, and communications. Credo is a higher education consulting firm focused on strategy, leadership, culture, and student success.
Joining on our panel will be the following leaders in higher education marketing:
* Lisa Snedeker, Communications/Marketing Director, Adjunct Professor at Campbell University, Raleigh Campus;
* Keisha Williams, Former Strategic Marketing/Communications Director, North Carolina Central University, Durham; and
* Raghu Tadepalli, Dean of the Martha and Spencer Love School of Business, Professor of Marketing, Elon University, Elon.
In this session, attendees will:
–> Hear how higher education marketing has changed in the past decade, including the impact of the pandemic on go-to-market approaches to reach Generation Z enrollees;
–> Learn about the innovative strategies that higher education marketing leaders employ today to reach their target audiences of students and parents;
–> Understand how colleges and universities build innovative and strategic partnerships within the community to achieve their goals; and
–> Hear predictions for the future of higher education in the Triangle and how marketers can prepare now to address them.
Dinner will be provided. Join us for networking and a very insightful panel discussion.
