Marketing effectively to university stakeholders is a unique niche in the communications world. From students to faculty and staff to alumni to the off-campus community to the media, there are a lot of audiences. The need to be consistent in message yet understanding of the specific needs, interests and motivations of each creates a wide range of challenges. But there are opportunities too — we’ll discuss it all at the Higher Education Marketing Link + Think.
Date / Location: Meets the third Tuesday of each month from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM. The location rotates from NC State to Duke, so please look at the each month’s individual event for location information.
If you are between jobs, are under-employed or simply want to sharpen your personal branding and networking skills, come join us. The 1st Monday of the month we bring in a speaker to present a topic of interest to jobseekers or hold a round table discussion. From time to time, company hiring managers may be on hand to share opportunities. As our way of giving back to the Triangle marketing community, there is no fee to attend these sessions.

The Branding Link + Think focuses on all aspects of building and maintaining a great brand, from brand strategy and how corporate culture impacts branding, to building brand equity, implementing branding standards and more.

It’s difficult for nonprofits and small businesses to relate to companies with hundreds of thousands – or even millions – in their marketing budgets. Join the Nonprofit & Small Business Link + Think to share ideas on guerrilla marketing, targeting a niche with a limited budget and more. It’s also a great chance to network with others who understand the unique challenges marketers with limited budgets face. As our way of giving back to the Triangle community, there is no fee to attend for employees of nonprofits.
