Lauren Beane graduated from North Carolina State University in 2017 with a Business Management degree with a concentration in marketing. During her time at NC State, she served on the NC State AMA’s executive board for 3 years, including 2 years as chapter president. Her background in the AMA’s collegiate operations and ability to build out programs from scratch gives her a unique perspective when developing a strong partnership with local colleges in order to bridge the gap between the collegiate and professional chapters. Prior to her role as Director of Collegiate Relations, Lauren volunteered on the High Five conference team, where she served as the Director of Special Projects.
Currently at Cisco, Lauren leads the digital programs for the Americas. Whether it’s developing engaging content on Cisco’s social channels, harnessing the power of influencers, or drawing insights from social listening to inform the go-to-market strategy, she ensures that customers are receiving a seamless social experience when they interact with Cisco.
Evan Wolff graduated from the State University of New York in New Paltz, New York with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree with dual focus in Management and Marketing. His background in students and academic initiatives through collegiate professional associations give him a unique perspective when approaching advocacy and communication strategies to high school and college students.
Evan joined the Association of International Certified Professional Accountants in May 2016 on the Academic and Student Engagement team. Through his position as Manager of Academic and Student Awareness, Evan is responsible for awareness communication strategies including social media for the “Start Here, Go Places.” and “This Way to CPA” brands. He is responsible for developing strategies, conference plans, and collateral to increase the awareness of the accounting and CPA profession to students and educators. He also manages partnerships with student organizations such as Business Professionals of America (BPA) and Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA).
Prior to joining the AICPA, Evan was a Concierge Associate for the Emerson Resort and Spa in Mt. Tremper, NY where he was responsible for optimizing guest experience while driving sales. He held the position of Executive Vice President for the American Marketing Association chapter at SUNY New Paltz, responsible for chapter operations, professional development and reporting.
Originally from New York, Nicole Filippo has lived in North Carolina since 1998. After earning a degree in corporate communications from Elon University, she worked for the National Home Furnishings Association as an education and meeting planner and the High Point Market Authority as part of the press center team.
In 2011, Nicole returned to her alma mater to join the Martha and Spencer Love School of Business Office of the Dean. She is currently the school’s communication manager and co-advisor for the AMA Elon chapter. She graduated for a second time from Elon in 2018 when she earned her MBA.
Nicole is also a Certified Meeting Professional and serves as the director of leadership and volunteer development for the Meeting Professionals International Carolinas Chapter.
