Susan Amey: CMO* — Durham Convention & Visitors Bureau
Susan is Chief Marketing Officer for the Durham Convention & Visitors Bureau (DCVB), whose mission is fueling economic health and development by attracting and serving visitors to Durham. The DCVB acts as Durham’s marketing agency, promoting the community’s brand, driving awareness of its appeal as a visitor destination, and encouraging community improvement that benefits visitors as well as residents. Susan joined DCVB in 2016, bringing more than 25 years of experience as a marketing and business leader and consultant. She has held leadership roles in product development, portfolio management and product marketing in a broad range of market-leading organizations, including the American Institute of CPAs, Steelcase and Black & Decker. Susan has also served as a board member, consultant and service volunteer to organizations that address homelessness and poverty, and continues to support the work of Urban Ministries of Durham.

Linh Calhoun: CMO — Replacements, Ltd.
As Chief Marketing Officer, Linh is responsible for driving revenue, evolving the customer experience and leading the strategic evolution of the world’s largest retailer of vintage and current dinnerware and collectibles. She and her team are focused on inspiring the way people gather, reinterpret and present traditions, entertain and make a house a home. With proven success in driving revenue, maximizing multi-channel marketing efforts and developing effective merchandising and marketing strategies, Linh’s extensive career includes marketing leadership positions at VIETRI, Ross Simons, Staples, L.L. Bean and Pace Communication’s e-commerce division.
Sallyann Hulick: CMO — BSA LifeStructures
As Chief Marketing Officer, Sallyann oversees and directs marketing for the firm and all BSA LifeStructures offices. She offers business insight and key decision-making qualities for the firm’s marketing and branding strategy. Having accumulated over 20 years of experience, Sallyann is committed to creating and leading the firm to fully utilize branding, talent and expertise to drive business growth. She is passionate about developing talent through mentoring and coaching. Her expertise lies in strategy development, leadership, branding, and profitability.
Maria Bartolome Winans: CMO — IBM North America and Canada
Maria B. Winans is the Chief Marketing Officer for IBM North America and Canada. She leads all aspects of Marketing for IBM with responsibility for client experience, engagement and the health of the IBM brand in the regions. Maria’s previous role was Global CMO for IBM Watson Customer Engagement where she was responsible for managing the global marketing strategy for solutions that enable business leaders in Marketing, Commerce and Supply Chain disciplines to leverage data, analytics and cloud to build deeper, more valuable engagements with their customers, partners and suppliers. In this role, Maria led a global team responsible for brand awareness, campaign design, digital engagement, content marketing and market development. She is also a member of IBM’s Hispanic Executive Council, IBM’s CMO Council and helps to lead IBM’s Super Women’s Group reaching women professionals across the company.
Angela Connor: Vice President, Business Development & Audience Engagement — Gelia, Inc.
As VP, Business Development & Audience Engagement, Angela is charged with delivering Gelia’s advanced suite of marketing solutions in the Triangle as well as building on her reputation for client service and success shepherding brands through the ever-evolving media industry. A former journalist and agency veteran, Angela has worked in newsrooms in Cleveland, Tampa, West Palm Beach, Fort Lauderdale and Raleigh and has helped brands like Blue Cross & Blue Shield of North Carolina, UNC Health Care and Deloitte make great strides in the social media space. An active participant in the community, Angela serves on the Communications Board of the Raleigh Chamber of Commerce and the National Advisory Board of Elon University’s School of Communications. Angela is a former Triangle Business Journal 40 Under 40 Award Winner and author of the book 18 Rules of Community Engagement: A Guide for Building Relationships and Connecting with Customers Online (Happy About, 2009). She also helped develop the social media strategy for the White House Council for Community Solutions, created by President Barack Obama in 2010.
