Welcome to the AMA’s Triangle chapter Membership page.
We hope your interest in the AMA means you’re ready to join us. If so, here is a link to get you started.
But if you’re still on the fence or need more information – you’ve also come to the right place!
The Triangle chapter of the AMA is a dynamic, vibrant and growing organization. With about 600 members and a ton of local events and programs, we feel pretty strongly that there’s something for everyone. Whether you’re a seasoned marketing pro, new to the profession or simply a business owner who wants to learn how to better market your company – the Triangle chapter has plenty to offer.
But let’s not bore you with generalities. Let’s talk about what you get for your membership and lay out exactly why this is really a pretty good deal.
NATIONAL AMA BENEFITS
First, as an AMA member, you have access to all of the Member-only content that’s online at www.ama.org. This includes hundreds of articles, white papers and best practices – plus webcasts, podcasts, interactive templates and too and a Career Resource Center.
Members also receive significant discounts on ALL national AMA events, including conferences and training sessions. Furthermore, as part of your membership, you will have access to a number of marketing publications, which provide the latest information, insight and research on what works, what doesn’t and what marketing trends to watch for. And most people don’t realize this – but there is a robust discounts and rewards program associated with major brands in auto rentals, food services, entertainment and cell phone service.
Bottom line — the benefits at the National level alone are worth the price of membership.
But wait. There’s more. A lot more and it all takes place in the Triangle.
AMA TRIANGLE (LOCAL) BENEFITS
Let’s start with some events and programs that are FREE.
First, the AMA Triangle hosts Special Interest Groups or SIGs. These are free and informal monthly events where members come together and share ideas, discuss special topics, and swap best practices. So far, there are six SIGs from which to choose – Content Marketing, Healthcare Marketing, Event Marketing, Digital Marketing and Analytics, and Social Media Marketing (one of our most popular) and we continue to add more as demand grows. These are great places to meet new people and begin to network, but you also invariably leave with some new information or insight.
Then, there are the social events throughout the year where people just enjoy each other’s company and have a good time. Events like our Volunteer and Members Appreciation Night at a RailHawks game is one example, as is our Merry Mingle event around the holidays. As you can probably guess, marketers are a pretty friendly bunch, so it’s easy to make new friends and build new professional relationships at these events.
The Triangle chapter is also about to introduce some new, free Best Practices workshops for members as well. These jam-packed events are going to cover topics such as digital marketing, analytics, pricing, and branding and be taught by the top marketers in the field. Did we mention they are going to be FREE to members. (The non-member rate will be at least $200).
But you get even more VALUE for your AMA membership.
Each month the AMA Triangle hosts a special luncheon that featuring regional and national speakers with expertise in topics that range from best practices in Facebook advertising to the guerrilla techniques of marketing a craft brewery. The location is pretty nice too, as they are always held at the Brier Creek Country Club. Most importantly – Members get a $10 discount on their luncheon ticket.
Here’s another deal.
AMA members get a discount on the price admission to the Chapter’s annual marketing conference —High Five. This one-of-a-kind event combines the best of design thinking and the best of marketing effectiveness with one dynamic conference. And the best part is — it takes place in Raleigh so you don’t have to travel far.
And finally, what would a marketing organization be without opportunities to build your professional network. You never know when you might need to call on someone you’ve met in the AMA, whether it’s to learn about new job openings or to seek sound advice. The AMA Triangle is a great place to grow your affiliations and even friendships. Plus, there are a host of opportunities to volunteer as well, whether it’s being a mentor or helping with membership. We also assist college AMA chapters and provide a scholarship for worthy marketing majors.
So there you have it – our total PACKAGE and VALUE PROPOSITION.
We think the list of benefits are well worth the investment. In fact, we like to think that we offer MORE than any marketing or communications in the Triangle.
We hope that you’ll join us. To sign up, just use this link OR if you still need more information — don’t hesitate to reach out to us at email@example.com.
Hope to see you soon at one our events!
