AMA Triangle is honored to announce the 2017 winner of the AMA Marketing Scholarship Competition, Kaley Moffitt.
Kaley is a junior at NCSU majoring in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing and Business Analytics. Initially finding this assignment challenging, Kaley said she became inspired to learn about ways to contribute to a great cause while preparing for a marketing future career. Tasked with a mission to imagine a movement for a world without hunger, Kaley created and developed a marketing campaign for “Stop Hunger Now.” She developed an audience analysis with university student targets to encourage their participation them in creative ways. Additionally, she identified possible competitive barriers to the effort. Next, Kaley conceived and developed a marketing proposal that included enticing initiatives, and a calendar rollout with target completion dates.
This campaign involved meaningful ways of engaging the university students using alternative volunteer tactics without incurring costs. After submitting her proposal, Kaley stated, “I hope that my marketing plan will spread awareness about world hunger, while educating college students and encouraging everyone to take action.”
AMA Triangle provided feedback on the proposal, providing areas of strength as well as ideas for improvement and suggestions of how to use the proposal in future job search efforts.
Congratulations, Kaley! We look forward to presenting your award at the April Luncheon.
